In questa bella acquaforte dei primi del 1900 viene rappresentata da sud la Torre dell’ orologio, chiamata anche Torre di mezzo ed il caratteristico ingresso con le due colonne dell’ Hotel Metropole, un tempo chiamato Hotel Bellevue nel Corso Umberto I di Taormina.
Genericamente a sinistra l’autore riporta a matita il titolo TAORMINA e firma la tavola M. Mactyke.
