Liliana Totaro, Sicilian, after studies in civil engineering received a PhD degree in Rome. In spite of her technical training, her real passion since childhood has been the fine arts, particularly drawing and painting. So, in 2000, she moved to Florence to study at The Florence Academy of Art where she received a certificate in painting in 2003. She stayed one more year at the FAA. 

She also attended etching courses at the “Il Bisonte” Foundation in Florence (2005).
After this Florentine spell, she returned to Rome where she worked for eight years. Since 2012 she spends most of her time painting at her Studio in South West Ireland.
Her main interest is in realistic painting and her aim is a true to life art. 

Traditional Sicilian ceramic as represented in a small painting that elicits great emotion.
